This is a very nice park. The staff and ownership deserve a pat on the back. Sites are level, but some are a little narrow. Facilities are very clean and neat. Bathrooms are clean. Wi-Fi works well. This campground is very convenient to the Mayo Clinic. The shuttle to Mayo will pick you up and drop you off at your campsite. Cost for the shuttle is $2/pp round trip. Service will run until 6 Nov 09. Sign-up is at the camp office. Shopping; Kohls, Walmart, Menards, FleetFarm etc., are within 5 easy miles. Many places to eat. The road in the park is paved. There are trees, but you will not have any trouble with satellite reception. The park has very good cable (76 channels) if you can tolerate cable TV guide channel. While the nightly cost seems a bit high ($36/nt for 50 amp back-in including tax) you will not find a better park close in to town.

An excellent park! Sites are large and level. Bathrooms are clean. Take a bike to use on the many bike paths. Very convenient to Yankton, a town of 14K. If you use a satellite dish there are many sites with visibility. Boating and fishing opportunities abound. I was disappointed that the park has very limited trash recepticals for walkers and no recycle bins for plastics or aluminium cans. Another disappointment was that about 2/3's of the park's camping is made available to just reservations. Not the greatest thing if you don't live by a schedule. Great if you do.

This is a nice little park and we'd recommend it to others. The owners are on-site and operate the park themselves. They are exceptionally friendly, personable people. We stayed here using a Coast 2 Coast affiliate rate. The Park does not have any grass, but the crushed rock is just fine. The sites are long and very level side to side. There are numerous shade trees for summer shade. The WiFi is slow and we were not able to get Verizon data. Also, the ladies bath was clean, the men's dirty. While there are many full-time campers here the park is very neat and organized. I like it when an operator sets good standards. This is a very safe park.

We stayed here using Coast 2 Coast. This is one of the nicer parks in the C2C system and we highly recommend it to others. I'm not going to repeat what others have said. Their descriptions are pretty accurate. Roads were clear coming up. It snowed about 6" the night we were there. Going the 12 miles out to Henefer the next morning was touch and go. We got out but had to use 4 wheel drive up hills and nurse our 12K# outfit down the hills at a very slow speed. We should have stayed put! It would not have been painful at all. There is limited CATV with just local channels. Our verizon data link worked just fine. The men's room was not clean but the women's was. Bathrooms were warm and water hot. There was only one other camper and us in the entire park. You'll enjoy this park.

River Grove, Felton, CA -- In my opinion, this campground earns a gracious 4 out of 10 points. In short, this is a tired "trailer trash" park managed and owned by lazy people. I'm disappointed that Coast to Coast continues to retain such parks in its network. Here are my observations: POSITIVES: Nice clubhouse. Excellent setting nestled in tall redwoods. Good cable TV, for $3/day. WI-FI, but intermittent. On-site laundry. NEGATIVES: Numerous old trailers (60's, 70's, converted bread truck) covered with tarps to keep out rain. Tree debris covering decks and walkways (what, no brooms?). Bathrooms dirty and no heat. Sites are muddy (no gravel) and not very level. Electrical hookups are unsafe. Abrasive staff. Normal non-member price is $45/night. That would be a total rip! We would not stay here again.

Sorry, this is a horrible park. If you can negotiate the huge potholes in the road coming into the park and within the park you're in for a terrible experience. When you leave the registration office you'll smell like an ashtray. In all my reviews I've never found a park with no positives.... here goes. Positives: Lots of deer, turkeys and other wildlife visit the park. Good cable TV. Negatives: Terribly dirty bathrooms. Terrible roads. Smoking in office. Very disorganized sites. Utilities very deteriorated. We will absolutely not, under any circumstances, stay at this park again. We'll stay at Walmart. Do not be swayed by the campgrounds ad in Trailer Life CG guide.

This is a very good park. That said these are my observations during my recent 16 night Jan/Feb 2009 stay. Pro's: Excellent staff with great attitude. Clean park. Animals are always under control. Very fast Wi-Fi with AgaveGulch4 router in park. Bathhouse in long-term part of park updated and clean. Availability of overflow. Extremely fair and executed overflow => park policy. No reservations; first come, first served is best policy. 21 day policy before rotate out of park. Con's: Sites are too close together in most of the park. Wi-Fi in overflow (AgaveGulch2) is scared turtle slow. Pressure to vote for park on MilitaryCamprounds web site. Bathhouse at laundry and west end of park not updated and not very clean (especially showers). Laundry too small for size of park. No fitness facilities in park. Actually, there are no real campground facilities, you must go across base and use the base facilities if you want anything extra.

Fort Bliss RV Park - El Paso, TX - This is a military campground open to military and DoD personnel. It's located north of El Paso fairly close to downtown and easy to get to off of Hwy 54 (exit 25). There are 73 mostly level sites that have a paved patio and drive. All are full hook-up and supposedly have cable TV. We got more channels off of the rooftop antenna. We had to set-up the satellite dish. Check-in went well, and we used the Golden Pass to get $2 off nightly fee. We asked to be placed up away from the main highway but were told that only spaces next to the highway were open. As we walked the park after supper, we noted two opens sites up in the park. Hmmm. Credibility took a hit. There's a nice pavilion with lounge and fitness room. Excellent. Laundry has plenty of washing machines and dryers. $1 to wash, .75 dry. Bathhouse was clean and had several showers. Park also has a small playground. Dogs are allowed and under control at all times. Across from the park is a nice shoppette and fuel station with the lowest price we saw in El Paso for diesel. Highway 54 in front of the park is very busy, but not much noise actually makes it to the park.

This is an in-transit type park just off of I-10 just outside Fort Stockton. The park is a gravel site with utilities added. No beauty. Just an excellent place to hang your hat for a night and move on. Numerous long-term workers stay in the park. Park seemed very safe. Bathroom is very basic, not clean and could use maintenance. I would stay here again if passing through. Office personnel were very friendly.

This is a convenient park for those people passing through. It's huge, and pretty well kept. There are quite a few full-timers in this park. It's right on the I-35 service road north of Waco near Elm Mott, TX. Sites are gravel, wide and level. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The little cafe is nice to have and the ladies running it are a hoot. Bathrooms/Showers are small and need significant updating. Pets are welcome so long as they are on a leash and you pick up after them. Highway noise is present but not really too noticeable. The park is very safe. Price was also fair. We would stay here again.

This is a pleasant "travelers" park for those campers looking for a nightly bargain. The campground is part of the McPherson County Mill Museum. It's open in the winter, weather permitting. We called ahead and the staff saw to it that the gate to the campground was unlocked for us. Other than electric, there are no utilities. Sites are flat and shaded. The park is about 300 meters from the museum complex. A really neat little historic town within a town. Bathrooms were not really clean, but this time of year they are not operational. The campground is about 3 miles from I-135 and easy to get to from the south of town, exit #72. Make time to tour the museum ($2), you'll be glad you did.

This is a very nice campground located just north of Kansas City. We stayed here on our way home from a month on the road. The campground is located about 5 miles off of I-29 from exit 20 and makes for a good one nighter or longer. The road to the Park is narrow but okay if you're careful. One nice thing about Missouri State Parks, you don't pay anything more for being a non-resident. In fact, we received $2 off the regular fee for being over 65. Sites are large and easy to back into with plenty of shade. Several are conducive to satellite setup. Interior roads are paved. There is no Wi-Fi in the Park. The bathhouse is not centrally located and entails a fair hike up and down hills to get to it. It's clean but, they used the wrong type of paint which is peeling quite badly. Electric is primarily 30 amps with a few 50 amps sites. You can receive numerous broadcast TV stations out of Kansas City by using your roof antenna. We enjoyed the Park and the great people. We would stay here again without question!

What a sweet little Park. I'm not going to restate what earlier campers have stated. It's all true. Let me update a couple items. Reservations are accepted. When May 1 rolls around (and after) they will take reservations for any part of their season, May 1 thru Oct 7. Second, there is no bathhouse, so you can't rate it. Also, they do allow pets. Access to the park is easy once you get through Houghton and past the bridge interchange. You've got to get across traffic to the center or right lane as the traffic bears down on you coming from across the lift bridge. Once through and up the little turn the Park turnoff is 1/4 mile up on the right. If I knew how to add a couple pictures to my review I would. Suffice it to say, this is a very nice park in a very nice region of our country.

Rivers Bend RV Park & Campground- This campground is located about 3 miles north and west of Iron Mountain on Pine Mountain Road. The owners live nearby and actively operate the park. Their park shows pride of ownership and attention to detail. Sites: A vast majority are seasonal. There are probably 60 non-seasonal sites mostly with full hookups with the rest having electric and water. Most are 50 amps. Most sites along the river are seasonal which dramatically limits everyone else’s opportunity to get down by the Menominee River. We rate the park a "9" for this reason only. There is a sewer dump. Sites are mostly level with gravel drives and grassy lawns and are fairly wide. Most sites have picnic tables and paved patios. You won’t need your satellite dish here since all sites have fantastic cable TV included in the price. Campground in General: The bath house(s) are centrally located. They are dated, i.e. cinder block, painted floors, wood stalls. However, they are extremely well maintained and exceptionally clean. The park is treed but open. Interior roads are paved but narrow. There is a Laundromat on site. Pets are allowed. We had no issues with uncontrolled pets or barking. There is no Wi-Fi. You can easily use the Wi-Fi hotspot 1.7 miles south of the park at the Pine Mountain Lodge/Resort (as you exit the park turn right and go to the lodge next to the ski jump). Access is fast, just park in the parking lot and connect. I like this park and would gladly stay here again.

Holiday Park Campground- This is an exceptional park. Real nice landscaping and a tremendous setting on Silver Lake. This is an Airstream Club Park so most folks stay here in Airstreams. There are many seasonal tenants but plenty of space for campers passing through. The landscaping is primarily from the efforts of the seasonal tenants. Most of the tenants are older, but the Park is very child friendly. We stayed here 8 nights at a cost of $233 including tax. A seasonal site will set you back $3,065. We requested a lake front site but were told none were available for the period of time we’d be there. However, there were several lake front sites that remained open the entire period of our stay. That was disappointing. There’s a laundry on site which costs less than local economy. Clearly this is one of the better parks you’ll stay in. It is not without its faults. Bathhouses need updating and while not filthy, are not very clean. The Park has cable TV but Wi-Fi is only available near the office/store. This needs to be rectified because it’s very inconvenient. Because of these two items, particularly the bath houses, we’ve rated this park a 9. Pets are allowed and we had no issues with other campers keeping their animals under control. This Park is very nice and you’ll enjoy camping here.

This campground is located about 1 mile northeast of Fish Creek just off County Road F. The owners live on site and seem very nice. There are no full hookups, which seems to be common in this area. There is a sewer dump. Sites are mostly level with gravel drives and grassy lawns and fairly wide. Most sites have picnic tables. Because of the woods, very few sites are suitable for satellite dishes. Tell the owner upon check in. She knows which sites are more suitable. Campground in General: There are very few seasonal tenants. The bath house is centrally located, clean with good showers. There is a Laundromat in the back of the bath house. Pets are allowed. We had no issues with uncontrolled pets or barking. We paid $28/night and got electric and water where the SP you only get electric, plus we supported a local resident. There is no Wi-Fi, however, you can get DSL access at the Office/Store/Clubhouse or go to the library Wi-Fi hotspot next to the Post Office on Main Street in Fish Creek which is next to the Gallery of Gold. Access is fast and Free. You won’t find big box stores or national name hotels in this quaint little tourist area.

This campground is located about 4 ½ miles southeast of Eau Clair along Hwy 12 not far off of I-94. The owner is a fellow that is 86 years young. He doesn’t do any of the work around the campground. There is a seasonal tenant that does most of the work and the grounds are well kept. The campground is located on about 12 acres of treed land and fairly level. There are not a lot of full hookup sites and most of these are taken up by seasonal campers. Many of the seasonal campers look like they are just barely able to make ends meet. Sites: Full-hookup sites are VERY narrow. Most are level and sandy/grassy. Electric is 30 amps. Most sites have at least water and electric. Numerous sites are suitable for satellite reception. Campground in General: The bath house is a very tired cinder block structure. It’s dark, wet and dingy and not very well maintained or cleaned. You’ll want to use your own unit. There is also a Laundromat in the back of the bath house and rates are less than the local economy. The back of the campground is used for trailer/vehicle storage. Pets are allowed. We had no issues with uncontrolled pets or barking. You will hear highway noise, but it’s not bad. There are many ‘ol duffers who come here every year. They are very friendly and will jump at any chance to help you. This is the closest campground to Eau Claire. Rates are okay; we paid $19/night for full hookups. There’s no website, like I said, Elmer is 86 years old and doesn’t have a clue about computers. There is no Wi-Fi or other means of internet access. Go to the Arby’s on Bus 53 for a free hotspot. Shoot on up to Chippewa Falls and take the Leinenkugel's brewery tour. You'll love it!!

Gentry’s Landing, Narrows, Virginia- This is a very small overnight type campground owned by the Lions Club of Narrows, VA. It is situated on the New River and is extremely picturesque. The New River is a premier fishing and rafting river that flows from South Carolina up into West Virginia. Almost all sights are seasonal sites. There are 5 sites available for nightly rental with full hook-ups (30 amps) and cable TV. We stayed here 6 nights at a nightly cost of $19. The campground is located about 17 miles east of Princeton, WV off (on) US 460. Since it is immediately off of US 460, you’ll hear highway noise. The bathrooms are VERY clean. No Wi-Fi is available. I went into Narrows next to the MacArthur Hotel to make a connection. If you’re looking for camping in Bluefield or Princeton, WV, there isn’t any. This and Pipestem State Park are as close as you’ll be able to get. This is a very good lay over type campground at a reasonable cost. We'd stay here again.

This is a Corps of Engineer Recreation site. The sites are wide and paved with good shade. Its located just below the Big Bend Dam near Fort Thompson. Fishing is available above the dam in Lake Sharpe and below the dam in Lake Francis Case. Excellent walleye and small mouth bass fishing. The campground is fine with playground equipment for kids. A boat ramp is available both up and down stream. The bathrooms were Terrible with a capital T. You will catch a disease in these bathrooms. No water hookup at each site but there are valves throughout the park. No sewer, but there is a dump about 1/2 mile away on the dam service road. Grass is well maintained. If you go fishing, and you should, be careful when the wind comes up. The lake gets very treacherous and waves could swamp you. The campground is located on federal property and the area is located in the Crow Creek and Lower Brule Indian Reservations. Fort Thompson is located 2 miles away. They have one fuel station with reasonably priced fuel and a small grocery and live bait. There is also a nice Casino and motel in town.

Bottom Line Up Front – We would stay here again and recommend the Park to others. We spent one night here while traveling across Colorado. The Park is situated right off Interstate 70 at exit 47. The Park is open all year, but, plan for bare bone facilities during winter months. We had only electric hook-ups and no water or sewer. Shower and bathrooms were closed. Water was available to fill your water tank and a dump station was also available. After 1 April all facilities are available to include full-hookups. Cell phone reception is an iffy 1 to 2 bars. Fishing is available in stocked ponds or the infamous Colorado River right along side the Park. Bang for the buck is questionable in winter. We paid $14 plus $5 vehicle pass for the one night. Sights are level and there are a few big rig pull throughs large enough to where you don’t have to unhitch. This Park is convenient for the in-transit traveler.

Bottom Line Up Front - We’d stay here again and recommend the Park to others. We spent one night at this Park as we were traveling through Nebraska. This Park is part of a Days Inn and Shell service station located along I-80 at exit 145 near Paxton, NE. To register just go to the Days Inn registration desk. There are 12 sites with full hook-ups. To me, the campground is an in-transit type or construction worker campground. All sites are pull-thru and long enough such that you won't have to unhook your rig. CATV, phone service and WiFi are included at no cost. Sites are level and have grass along each side and good picnic tables. Price per night is $15. There’s nothing special about the Park. It’s situated along a small stocked pond that you can actually fish in. The interstate is far enough away so that you don’t hear the road noise, but, you will hear an occasional train. It’s open all year and is perfect for the traveler scooting across the country. Easy in and easy out. Good bang for the buck!

Bottom Line Up Front - We would absolutely stay here again and rate it a 6 only because of the absence of hook-ups. Located in Arizona on Interstate 15 exit 19 (Cedar Pockets Interchange). Nestled in a pocket of the spectacular Virgin River Gorge, this recreation area is surrounded by colorful cliffs and rocky canyons. The Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area offers a developed campground, picnic/day use area, hiking trails and access to the Virgin River and two wilderness areas. The campground is open all year with 75 sites (many are pull-throughs). There are no hook-ups, but, this is a wonderful little Park. There are tables, charcoal grills, water to fill your tank, flush toilets (no showers), two handicapped-accessible sites and paved roads. There’s no sewer dump. The Park is located about 20 miles southwest of St. George Utah and about 20 miles northeast of Mesquite, Nevada. Take the Cedar Pockets exit, located halfway through the Virgin River Gorge. Campsites are $8.00 per night. Holders of a Golden Age or Golden Access permit are entitled to a 50% discount. This is a great little layover park, or, if you don’t mind the lack of hookups, a great extended park. The views here are breath taking!

We stayed here 7 nights the week of 18 Feb 2007. This is a Navy run MWR park that is only available to military and DoD civilians and Coast Guard. Qualified persons CAN sponsor a non-military guest rig. The greatest thing this park has going for it is its location. Coronado, San Diego, Tijuana Mexico, Sea World, the ocean and the San Diego Zoo are all easily accessible. So, the park gets a top rating for location. From there, the campground itself struggles. Campground Pro’s: Location; nice marina and boat rentals available; small store; gated entrance, kid friendly. Campground Con’s: Very narrow sites; no sewer hook-ups; bathrooms are not clean – this is also a Marina and everybody uses the same bath and latrine facilities and it shows; limited recreational facilities beyond boats on site; no organized activities such as cards or crafts; first come/first served policy selectively adhered to regarding sites; NO WIFI access without paying $4/hr ( and then it’s very slow). As a retiree with 30 years service, I look at MWR as our club membership, yet, I’m not seeing the value. When we come to San Diego in the future, we will opt to use our regular campground membership and stay elsewhere in the near-by area at a park with the amenities we like, surprisingly at a fraction of the cost of Fiddler’s Cove. I guess we’re spoiled and we’ll vote with our boots. The Navy has not gotten it right. I’d suggest they send a staff person to Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson to learn from those who do have it right. As stated, the Park has a perfect location and if you’re only using it for a base of operations for a short period, you’ll be satisfied. The Park at San Onefre would be a better choice, park wise. This Park is scheduled to close September 2007 for 4 months (or more) for a total reconstruction. This should solve some of the physical site deficiencies. It’s a GREAT opportunity to get it right! An earlier reviewer noted that they would stay in the dry sites on future visits. If you have a generator and sufficient water, there’s wisdom in this thinking. After 2 nights in the partial hookup area, we moved to the dry area and were somewhat happier. This time next year the facilities issues should be a mute point. Finally, to avoid a potentially thrilling trip over the bay bridge into Coronado, I’d suggest coming up highway 75 from the south (exit 5A off of I-5) through Imperial Beach. You’ll avoid the high winds on the bridge and snaking through the narrow highway and traffic in Coronado to get to the Park. I hope this review helps.

Page Springs Park – Sunrise Resorts of Arizona, Cornville, AZ – Bottom line up front… we would definitely stay at this park again in the future, but, not because of the park. First impressions are very important and this park struggles in that department. We stayed here 6 nights the second week of February 2007 at the Coast 2 Coast rate of $8/night. First impression to me was one of negative vibes……no refunds prominently displayed several times, $10 bathroom key deposit, only partial hookups (W/E) available to Coast 2 Coast affiliates without add’l fee, facilities locked up, seasonal tenants with very messy sites. The park is small and reminds me of a construction worker park vice “Resort.” Clearly, Sunrise does not use this park to sell its memberships. The road leading to the park from 89A is narrow and winding for just over 2 miles but not a problem at all. You’ll come to a corner marked 25 mph, the park is on that corner, don’t pass it or you’ll have a chore turning around to go back to the park. You’ll descend down into the park. The park office is small and operates off of dial-up. There’s no internet access per say. You can use the office dial-up modem but must disconnect if someone comes in to register. They have one phone line for all actions. They need to get into the 21st century and get some sort of WiFi or hardwire broadband. The clubhouse is an open bay mobile home with nothing more than tables and chairs down the middle. The office, bathhouse and laundry are also in a mobile home type temporary structure. All facilities are kept locked up and you must ask to get access. None are keyed the same as the bathroom which is very inconvenient and significantly reduces usage. I believe that’s the goal. The manager and his wife are very nice, but, convenience is important too. There seems to be a lot of deferred maintenance. The RV sites are very, very narrow and for the most part short. We have a 34’ 5th wheel, which left pretty much no place to park our truck. The bathroom was clean and heated. The laundry was small but much cheaper than in town, $1.25/wash vice $2.25 in town. Our site was directly on the stream which was very picturesque and pleasant. The park is located 15 miles from Sedona and 16 miles from Jerome which is very convenient. There are numerous other tourist sites nearby also. That’s what makes this park nice and why we’d return. The park is not inspiring but the surrounding area is!

Preferred RV Resort – Pahrump, NV – Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF) This is an above average park and I would recommend it to others. It is a member’s only park, but if you have Coast 2 Coast, RPI, ROD or Passport America you’ll be able to stay. We stayed as C2C paying $8 (pts) plus $2 utility fee (cash) per night for 7 nights the second week of February 2007. The pull-thru sites are narrow with gravel parking and concrete patio with nice picnic table and small shade tree. Roads are gravel. I’d suggest asking for a space in the “lettered” rows of the park. They are wider back-in sites and have more mature trees. I think this might be where most of the home park members are placed. They have a clubhouse with daily planned activities. They have a woodshop, quilting and stained glass window classes/shop. Also, an indoor heated swimming pool and spa in the winter and outside in summer. There are many members that stay for an extended time and many travelers staying for a week or less. While we did not see any kids, this is a kid friendly park. The park has gated security. There’s no cable so satellite is necessary. Pro’s are: many activities in the park; strong WiFi signal; 50 amp service; 1 blk from two casinos; Pahrump is very senior oriented; friendly neighbors in the park; nice mountain views; mild weather this time of year, acceptably clean bathhouses; accept mail; frequent food oriented get-to-gethers and socials; Pool tournaments; card playing; not high cost like Vegas. Con’s: located in the middle of nowhere, but, Pahrump has 32,000 residents and a Supercenter Walmart ½ mile away; being in the desert it’s dusty; sites are narrow. Pahrump is a fast growing community oriented to retirement-minded people. There’s golf, small town values and sunshine. If you’re looking for local attractions, they’re really not here. Vegas is 65 miles distant and several other tourist sites are 30 or more miles away.

Bottom Line Up Front – This is a tired park that tries like a steer to make the grade. We will not stay here again in the future. We stayed here for 5 nights the very last week of February 2007. This is a membership park owned by Colorado River Adventures (CRA) and affiliated with Coast 2 Coast and RPI. We stayed here using our C2C membership and paid $8/night. The resort is listed as having 4 “facility” W’s in Woodall’s, but this is misleading. Facilities are VERY limited. For example, the fitness room is a small dank room composed of equipment that escaped from a garage sale or maybe rejected by a consignment shop. These day’s, in my view, if you list your resort as having internet access it should be WiFi or hardwire DSL as a minimum. This Park has one phone line for modem hookup for the entire campground AND they charge you $2/hr for the privilege. Draw your own conclusion. This park is located right along side Interstate 10, one of the busiest highways in California. Campground Pro’s: Shaded sites; Paved roads and pull-thru’s; Kid friendly with lots of playground equipment; Pool and spa; Catch and release fish ponds; Laundromat ($1.25 wash, $.75 dry); Some organized activities; Picnic tables, Low member/affiliate nightly rate. Campground Con’s: Very narrow sites (so narrow you’ll not be able to fully extend your awnings at most of the sites); You’ll step out onto dirt (mud for us) not a paved or gravel patio; Internet access is Poor (capital P); Bathrooms are not clean (it’s difficult to clean old fixtures, cracked counters and tile); Unrelenting highway noise from the Interstate and the Rest Area right next to the Park; Lousy fitness room; Mountain views are tainted by trailer storage lot. I suppose this Park is more suitable for people from the nearby cities that don’t want to travel far on weekends and who have kids to keep satisfied. It is not for folks that enjoy the out-of-doors and reasonably nicer facilities and adult activities. Management keeps the park neat and picked up, but, there is a lot of deferred maintenance. Don’t let them put you in the sites next to the Interstate, numbers 64 through 76! We didn’t know any better and that’s where we were. I hope this review helps.

This is a military Air Force Base FamCamp and is only open to military or retired military. It is very busy during late January through February. No Reservations. Get into the park by 15 January and you’ll probably not have to wait. Later than that, you’ll end up in the overflow without services until a space comes available. Bathhouses are still available to the overflow sites. You’ll wait from 3 to 5 days to get an actual full service site during late January through February. The overflow sucks but the actual sites are great. Cost is $5 in overflow and $16 per night in full hookup sites. WiFi and hardwire internet connections are available. The rating above is for the actual sites. Overflow rates a 4 in my book.

This is a nice park. It’s located very conveniently off Interstate 25 exit 59 20 miles south of Truth or Consequences. We stayed here January 24, 2007. We had a site with electric and water for $14. Full hook-ups cost $18. Very reasonable. GREAT views of the mountains and Caballo Lake. No heat in the bathhouse but showers are hot. Facilities clean. No Wi-Fi or cable. No state entry fee. We had arrived after driving through lots of snow and salt. The state attendant suggested we wash our vehicle and rinse down our trailer at our site. We appreciated that. You cannot go wrong at this park!

This is a Good Sam park located about a mile from exit 126 on Nebraska I-80. We arrived just after the area had received about 6” of snow. The park is open all year. The owners are very nice, however, they didn’t do a very good job opening up their pull-thru’s. They were literally the width of our trailer wide and we had to step out into knee deep plowed snow. The sites had 50 amp service. The bathrooms were closed, so no showers that night. Water was not available at the site because it was winter, but, was available at a central site. Wi-Fi is available. Cable TV is included in price. We paid $20 for the night. It's hard to do a great job during winter. I'm sure this is an above average park worthy of using it for your cross country travel.

Raton RV Park – Raton, NM. Don’t know where to start with this campground. We stayed here on January 23, 2007. The park is located south of mid-town with entry off the main drag. Sites are small. The park is VERY tired looking and in need of maintenance. Watch for overhead obstructions from trees. No bathhouse. However…we only paid $15 for one night with full hook-ups. Before, we stayed here we went to another park in town, Summerland next to I-25 - no go. Raton is not a town where you’ll find outstanding campgrounds. We returned and spent the night at this park. Don’t expect much from this park, however, it’s okay for a night.

This is a phenomenal park and very RV friendly. We stayed here 7 days at the end of January 2007. We were very apprehensive about staying here considering what many folks seem to say about these 55+ parks that seem to focus on long-term stays. Yes, this park has the normal park models, but, is in tune with taking very good care of it’s RV guests as well. We stayed here as a Coast 2 Coast member and were greeted with friendly smiles. Staff are extremely helpful and very responsive. We were escorted to our site. Sites are paved and level with many RV sites available throughout the park. You can reserve deluxe sites that have privacy fence, gas barbeque, picnic table, tv cable and local phone. They are in high demand. We didn’t get one of those, but we were paying $19.50 per night vs the deluxe non-discounted rate of $55. We had full hook-ups with electric included. We paid the $13 (1,300 points) Coast 2 Coast GNP rate plus $5 electric and $1.50 tax per night. For this you get WiFi and access to ALL facilities. This park is actually a very nice resort. They have an indoor heated pool and 4 outdoor pools; 3 fitness centers, tennis courts, shuffleboard; a pool hall; concerts by former headliner entertainers (similar to Branson, MO). The park is near many area activities and tourist sites. Some drawbacks are no kids (which to me is not a drawback) and the WiFi is hit and miss although very strong in the clubhouse. You can set up satellite dishes and wash your rig and vehicles. Some current RV undiscounted rates as of Feb 2007 are: $35 daily and $175 weekly (includes electric); $470 monthly, $1,350 for 3 month, electric not included. Deluxe RV sites: $55 daily and $235 weekly (includes electric). We stayed at Davis-Monthan AFB Tucson prior to this at $16 per day and felt we were getting a bargain. The real bargain is at Val Vista Village. We were very happy with our stay and plan to stay for a month next winter.

This is a Coast to Coast private resort park. It's a very nice park. The bathhouse was somewhat dirty, thus the 9 rating. Location is excellent, just 2 miles from the Branson Strip. The park is part of a larger condo and park model type of resort. Wi-Fi is available in the club house. The park needs sidewalks along their busy roadways. A concierge in the clubhouse can get you tickets to shows at very good prices. Oriented towards seniors, of course, this is Branson!

This is a Coast to Coast private park. It's mostly for seasonally campers and NOT travelers like us. It's difficult to get to. Even though the C2C rate is good, I would not recommend this park. The bathhouse is nearly a quarter mile from the camp sites and is not well attended to. Stay in the National Forest campground just outside Sulphur.

This is a Coast to Coast private park. We are new to C2C and each time we stay at a park it is a poke in a pig since there are no reviews. This park is nestled in the hill country of Texas and is quite nice. The bathhouses are a little older and Wi-Fi is not readily available, that's why we rated the park an 8. Wi-Fi is available if you take your computer up to the office, but, there is nowhere in the office/clubhouse to sit down and use it. You'll have to sit in your vehicle. Park has two swimming pools and is located on the pristine Guadalupe River.

We were surprised regarding how nice the park was. It's a little bit of ways from the Interstate (10 miles approx.) but, easy to get to. It has paved roads and paved, level sites. The restrooms are very clean. The park is well worth staying in.
